About Me

I’m Sue Atkins, a parenting expert, broadcaster, author, and coach — passionate about helping families confidently navigate the ups and downs of raising children in today’s fast-changing, digital world.

Before becoming a Parenting Author, Broadcaster, Speaker and Coach, I was a Deputy Headteacher, so I understand both the classroom and the living room. I draw on that experience, alongside my own parenting journey, to offer practical, down-to-earth advice that really works for families.

I created the Navigating the Digital Jungle podcast and resources hub to support parents, schools, and professionals with tools and strategies for balancing technology, wellbeing, and family life. You’ll also find me regularly on TV, radio, and in the press, sharing trusted guidance on everything from toddler tantrums to teenage screen time.

Working Globally

I’m proud to be the UK Coalition Lead, Founding Coalition Member & Strategic Network Partner of Ctrl+Shft – a global initiative focused on building safer, more supportive online spaces for children and young people. My work often brings me together with schools, tech organisations, and family-focused brands, but at the heart of everything I do is one goal: helping families feel connected, resilient, and ready for whatever challenges the digital age brings.

My Philosophy

I believe parenting isn’t about being perfect – it’s about being present. My mission is to give you the confidence, conversations, and tools you need to raise happy, resilient children while enjoying the adventure of parenting.

Let's Connect

Whether you’re a parent looking for practical tips or a school, brand, or organisation interested in collaboration, I’d love to connect with you.

Explore my Navigating the Digital Jungle resources and podcast for everyday strategies you can put into practice at home, or get in touch if you’d like to partner with me in my role as UK Coalition Lead with Ctrl+Shft.

Ctrl+Shft is building the missing infrastructure for online safety, helping schools, parents, and communities measure, manage, and mitigate digital harm. In the UK, I’m leading a coalition of trusted voices to replicate this proven model and improve online safety for children globally.

Testimonials

Discover how Sue’s expert advice has helped families, educators, and teams feel more confident,
supported, and ready for every step of the journey.

Sue has a wonderful warmth that allows people to open up and share their own personal experiences and show vulnerabilities. It was a great session and exactly what we imagined when we decided we wanted to face into this topic with the John Lewis Partnership Working Parents Network. We loved working with you.
